Hot July Wedding for a Cold January Day

Written by Jolea Brown on .

As we are freezing our tails off and getting prepared for a great New Year, I keep reminding myself of warmer times to try to stave of complete hibernation. One of the best and hottest weddings ever was Caitlin and Joeys wedding. It was in July, so no surprise that it was warm. Everyone was prepared with plenty of water, fans and light flowy dresses. Little did we know it would be a record breaking 107 degrees! Even when the air in the limo wasnt working from the ride from 'Wildwood Country Club' to 'Highland Baptist Church', everyone stayed cool and collected (if a little um...dewy). Once we were back at the Country club, the Bride, Groom, and I got to cool off by riding golf carts all over the place, from one beautiful backdrop to the next.
It just goes to show - whether youre planning a summer, or snowy winter (yes Ive done plenty of those too!) wedding, as long as you are prepared for your party and your guests, everything will work out beautifully. You cant control everything in a wedding, especially the weather. The best thing to remember is to relax, enjoy yourself and know you are with all that you love. Happy 2014!
